SAFETY & WELLNESS VISITS
More than just a check in.
A real assessment.
Structured observation visits--remote and in-person--designed to catch what a phone call cannot. For families who need eyes on a loved one, and care teams who need reliable monitoring between visits.
WHAT IS A WELLNESS VISIT
The gap between "she sounds fine" and "she is fine"
A phone call tells you someone answered. It does not tell you whether they seem confused, whether the environment is safe, whether medications are being managed, or whether their affect has shifted since last week.
An Alaria Safety & Wellness Visit is a structured clinical observation — conducted remotely by video or in person — carried out by a trained caregiver who knows what to look for and how to document it.
Every visit concludes with a written summary you can share with family members, physicians, or your care coordination team.
Confirm someone picked up. Relies on self-report from a person who may minimize, forget, or not recognize their own decline.
Structured obsversation by a trained caregiver. Assesses cognition, mood, environment, medications, and phyiscal presentation-independent of self-reopt.
Documented. Written summary provided after every session. Shareable with your care team, physician, or family members.

WHO THIS SERVES
Built for the people carrying this responsibility
Adult children living out-of-state
You call when you can. But you know that a phone call and an actual assessment are two different things. Our remote visits give you structured information from someone trained to observe what a casual conversation may not reveal.
Families in the post-discharge window
Your loved one is home from the hospital or rehabilitation facility. Aides haven't started yet. The discharge window is the highest-risk period and often the least monitored. A wellness visit bridges that gap.
Hospital discharge planners
For clients who are clinically ready for discharge but need structured monitoring before a full care plan is in place. Our visits are documented and shareable with your team -- a reliable bridge service you can place with confidence.
Geriatric care managers & social workers
Remote visits that can be built into a care plan and coordinated across counties. All visit documentation is provided in writing and can be shared directly with the care coordination team.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What families ask us
What technology does my family member need for a remote visit? Any smartphone, tablet, or computer with a working camera and internet connection is sufficient. We use a simple video platform and can walk your family member through the connection process, if needed. We do not require any special software or app downloads.
What happens if something concerning is observed during a visit? If our caregiver observes anything of concern — cognitive changes, safety hazards, signs of physical distress, or any other flag — it will be documented in the visit summary and communicated to you promptly. We do not replace emergency services; if a situation requires immediate emergency response, we will contact you and 911 directly.
How is this different from a home health visit? Home health visits are clinical and medical in nature, typically ordered by a physician and covered by Medicare or insurance. Our Safety & Wellness Visits are non-medical, private-pay, and focused on observation, documentation, and family communication — not medical treatment. Many families use our visits alongside home health services, or in the gap before home health begins.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment required? No. Wellness visits are available on a per-visit basis with no long-term commitment required. Many families schedule recurring visits for consistent monitoring, but you are never obligated to do so. You can schedule as needed.
